Digital Buddha Master’s Journey – Merging Ancient Wisdom with Modern Technology

The Buddhist statue is not merely a sculpture—it is the crystallization of deep meditation and prayer. As an American-born monk enchanted by Japan, I blend traditional Buddhist sculpture techniques with cutting-edge AI technology to explore new expressions that transcend a thousand years of time.

In Japanese tradition, creating Buddhist statues was never simply an artistic activity—it was spiritual practice itself. Even in modern times, this essence remains unchanged. While my digital Buddhist statues are born within computers, their souls are breathed in through meditation and prayer, just as they have been for centuries.

On this site, alongside introducing my digital Buddhist statue NFT collections, I share Japan’s “YABAI” charm with the world—its astonishing beauty, strangeness, and profundity. The word “YABAI” carries a uniquely Japanese duality, capable of expressing everything from the sublimely wonderful to the chaotically incomprehensible.

YABAI (ヤバい): A Japanese expression that defies simple translation. It can mean “amazing,” “incredible,” or “awesome” in a positive sense, while also conveying “dangerous,” “outrageous,” or “extreme” in other contexts. This duality perfectly captures the essence of my project—celebrating both the serene beauty and the mind-bending aspects of Japanese Buddhist art and culture.

As a digital Buddha master (butsuzo sculptor), I invite you to explore this intersection of ancient spirituality and digital innovation—where meditation meets algorithms, tradition meets disruption, and the sacred meets the technological.
