Path of the Digital Buddha Master
I am an American-born monk who found his spiritual home in Japan. After years of Zen practice in California, I was drawn to the ancient temples of Kyoto where I began studying the art of traditional Buddhist sculpture (butsuzo). What started as a spiritual journey evolved into an unexpected fusion of worlds when I discovered the creative potential of artificial intelligence.
As a bridge between East and West, tradition and innovation, I now dedicate myself to what I call “Digital Buddha Mastery” – creating sacred Buddhist art using AI tools while maintaining the meditative practice and spiritual intention that has guided butsuzo sculptors for centuries.
My Approach
Each digital Buddha statue I create begins with traditional meditation. I spend days absorbing the essence of the deity – whether it’s Kannon’s compassion, Fudo Myoo’s transformative power, or Amida’s infinite light. Only then do I engage with AI systems, guiding them to manifest these spiritual energies into visual form.
This is not mere art generation. It is a modern continuation of Japan’s thousand-year tradition of butsuzo crafting, where the sculptor’s devotion is as important as their technical skill. In my practice, algorithms replace chisels, but the heart’s intention remains the same.
My Mission
Through this website and my NFT collections, I aim to:
- Create a bridge between Eastern spiritual traditions and Western technological innovation
- Preserve and revitalize interest in Japan’s rich Buddhist artistic heritage
- Explore how ancient wisdom can help us navigate our increasingly digital existence
- Build a global community of like-minded souls interested in the intersection of spirituality and technology
Whether you’re a Buddhist practitioner, an art collector, a technology enthusiast, or simply curious about Japanese culture, I welcome you to join me on this journey where the sacred and the digital converge.
